What Is The $50 Venture Capitalist?

$50 Venture Capitalist is an ad by Kevin Harrington for Ray Blanco’s investment research service, Technology Profits Confidential.

I’ve shared reviews of other services from Ray including his Breakthrough Technology Alert and Halo-Fi.

In the interim, however, Kevin delivers an elaborate presentation on how best to identify good startups to invest in.

$50 venture capitalist website

Startups are budding business ventures that look for financing from private and sometimes public sources.

Although we won’t get into the details, it is almost impossible for the average investors who are not endowed with a war chest they can splurge on ten investments (find one that returns their investment with a profit) to make money.

An even bigger challenge is to bridge the information gap; establishing with a good degree of accuracy which startups are non-starters and which ones are destined for success.

That’s where Kevin comes in with his experience and ability to analyze fledgling startups.

He uses a system called The Appraisal System.

This system follows a strict set of rules to separate the good from the bad (startups).

The four rules are:

  • The startup should create a product that people want.
  • The product should solve a problem facing millions of people.
  • The company should be led by a team of competent visionaries.
  • The product should have an edge over competitors’ products.

Kevin passes the businesses that meet these criteria on to Ray who also filters them to find the best ones.

The ones that make it past Ray’s filter are sent to Technology Profits Confidential subscribers.

Is $50 Venture Capitalist a Scam?

$50 Venture Capitalist is not a scam.

I know it may sound outlandish when Kevin says that you can get rich investing in a few businesses, but he is technically correct.

Although a massive stroke of luck was involved, people who invested in Facebook and Google while they were still small startups saw their modest equities grow into million-dollar, if not billion-dollar, fortunes.

Venture capitalists rely on this model as they invest minuscule amounts of money in unknown companies hoping that they will become multi-million dollar enterprises.

Pros of $50 Venture Capitalist

  • The potential upside if a startup ends up being good is impressive, capable of generating life-changing gains.
  • It has a low barrier to entry. They say that even $50 will suffice.
  • $49 (membership fee) sounds like a bargain considering the amount of work that Kevin and Ray put into researching and analyzing new investments.

Cons of $50 Venture Capitalist

  • Nine out of ten startups fail. Of course, having someone to vet them softens the blow but they are still risky.

$50 Venture Capitalist Verdict

Investing in startups is risky business.

However, they are one of the few legitimate ways you can get rich off of a small investment.

The tricky part is finding the right business to back.

If you are relatively new to the scene, you need experienced eyes to help you along.

That’s what the $50 Venture Capitalist is all about: letting average investors in on solid startup opportunities that they would otherwise struggle to pinpoint on their own.

That being said, who would mind having Kevin Harrington, a former “shark” on the TV show, Shark Tank, give you advice about the next best business idea? Very few would!
