What Is Money Morning Private Briefing?

Money Morning Private Briefing is a collaborative effort of William (Bill) Patalon III and a group of influential Money Morning investment experts.

money morning private briefing website

When Bill helped establish Money Morning in 2007, he realized that by bringing together a group of top analysts and legendary investors, he would be able to provide readers with more wholesome investment advice and recommendation.

He pulled it off in 2011 and brought together seven of the most experienced traders. Each of these experts individually run their investment newsletters. Since inception, Private Briefing has delivered over 217 double and triple-digit stock picks.

Every day, Bill and his team of analysts hold meetings where they discuss the key events affecting the markets and develop strategies that stand to make their readers money.

The term “private briefings” refers to both these meetings and the service through which ordinary investors can listen in on the discussions held by Bill’s team.

Let’s quickly run a brief overview of what each of them is renowned for:

  • William Patalon: Was an accomplished business journalist before he moved into investment research. He is a published author who has interviewed some of the most legendary names in business. His experiences afford him unparalleled insight and an impressive Rolodex of the who’s who in business.
  • Shah Gilani: A former hedge manager who is currently an investment banker that specializes in bonds.
  • Dr. Kent Moors: He knows the energy business inside-out. He is an advisor to government agencies and some of the biggest energy conglomerates.
  • Keith Fitz-Gerald: Has a knack of spotting hidden market patterns to find profitable trades even when the market looks bleak.
  • D.R. Barton: He is an authority in technical trading. His proprietary trading tool, Stealth Stock Trading Indicator, has helped him and his followers make a lot of money.

How Does Money Morning Private Briefing Work?

When you subscribe to Private Briefing, you can expect to receive investment advice directly from the Money Morning team every business day before the main markets open.

That’s five briefings through which the team of analysts notifies you about trades likely to make money when trading commences.

The rationale behind having those briefings before the markets open is to allow you adequate time to act on the trades.

Bill insists on not telling you when you should close your positions because he acknowledges that different people have diverse trading strategies – some traders keep their positions open for longer to accrue bigger gains while others prefer to close their positions as fast as they can to minimize risk.

The panel at Private Briefings stay out of your way but provide you with the necessary information to help you make an informed decision.

However, the recommendations come with a 25% trailing stop to mitigate losses and protect your initial capital outlay.

Subscription fee

Money Morning Private Briefing is a premium service. They charge you $7.99 per month.

Relation with other publications

Since the advice you receive on Private Briefings is offered by experts who run other trading services, you can expect to encounter slight overlaps of what they share in the briefings with the advice they offer people subscribed to their newsletters.

For example, if you are a member of both Private Briefings and Radical Technology Profits, you can expect to see similarities in the advice Michael Robinson gives in both publications on related subjects.

However, these similarities are slight and you have to subscribe to Radical Technology profits in addition to Private Briefing, for a more comprehensive take on the tech industry.

Is Money Morning Private Briefing A Scam?

Money Morning Private Briefing is not a scam.

Money Morning is run by some of the most well-connected analysts who have had remarkable success over the years.

You cannot go wrong with a collection of brilliant minds; a team with a cumulative 175 years of trading experience.

Besides, these people regularly appear on major business news outlets and publications and those entities usually deal with legit people, if they can help it.

Pros Of Money Morning Private Briefing

  • It is an all-encompassing publication because it draws from analysts with all sorts of business backgrounds.
  • Their open-ended approach accommodates diversity in trading approaches

Cons Of Money Morning Private Briefing

  • Not suited to newbie traders. The panelists assume all traders have a working strategy and know what they are doing; which isn’t always the case.

Verdict For Money Morning Private Briefing

Private Briefings, though open to everyone, are not suited to newcomers; only people who know what they are doing and just need a small nudge in the right direction.

They respect the fact that different traders inevitably have diverse strategies.

To honour that, they just give you something to think about with their recommendations and leave the decision-making entirely up to you.
