What Is The Secret Permian?
The “Secret Permian” presentation is an ad for Keith Kohl’s Pure Energy Trader and an appeal to invest in a small Texas company that has discovered unexpectedly large oil reserves near the Permian Basin (you must subscribe to the service to know what the name of the company is).
I’ve shared reviews of other presentations from Keith Kohl such as Endless Clean Energy and Superpower Checks.
Keith has been tracking the oil company for some time and recently told his readers to buy its stock.
For the past couple of months, the shares have already returned more than 200% in gains.
He is excited about it because it discovered approximately one billion barrels of oil beneath its 100,000-acre property near the main Permian basin – an area known for its extensive shale formations.
But there is a twist… they are not ruling out the possibility that they may have underestimated the size of the oil reserve – there could be up to 3.7 billion barrels of oil (considering an 11% recovery rate).
He gives two justifications for recommending it to his readers:
- Insiders are holding onto their stocks so far. When insiders want to own a piece of their company, it usually shows that they think its prospects are good.
- The company’s geologist (and founder) has a 30-year history of involvement with the Permian Basin. He has discovered some of the largest deposits in the area while working with companies like Clayton Williams Energy, Rosetta Resources, Energen Corporation, and Occidental.
The company has already put its 100,000 acres and $185 billion oil reserve on the market.
This is not new to the industry; many small oil companies usually end up in the hands of a bigger company.
Keith expects the shares of the $150 million company to rise from $2 to $2,500 in the long run.

Is The Secret Permian A Scam?
The “Secret Permian” is not a scam.
First, independent industry analysts have verified the discovery.
Second, the geologist who made the discovery is credible.
He has worked with numerous other companies in the Permian Basin for the past thirty years and discovered some of the biggest shale oil deposits in the process.
Finally, everything about this discovery is verifiable.
I have done my research and it’s all true.
Pros of the Secret Permian
- The stock is quite cheap. You can buy a significant stake with a relatively small investment.
- If the company gets bought out, you could earn a decent profit if you buy while the stock is still cheap.
Cons of the Secret Permian
- If things go wrong, the investment may not pan out as Keith thinks it will.

Verdict For The Secret Permian
We all know how lucrative the oil business can be.
When a small company such as the one Keith is touting strikes a sizeable reserve, their prospects improve overnight.
They are usually either acquired by a larger company or grow to become a big company.
In both scenarios, investors who join the party early enough enjoy huge windfalls.
The “Secret Permian” appears to be one of those opportunities that don’t come around often.
Although investing in it will be risky, the upside looks mouthwatering.
It’s not every day that a company discovers 3.7 billion barrels of oil lying around untapped.
