What Is CashCrate?

CashCrate was launched in 2006 and it quickly amassed over 10 million members. As stated on the website, the people in charge noticed that there were similar sites all over the internet. Some looked like CrashCrate with a good portion of them being scams.

With this in mind, CashCrate decided to shift focus from their rewards program to create a site that would catalog various legitimate ways to make money online.

CashCrate was started by a guy called Patrick Clochesy and he worked as the General Manager of CashCrate from November 2008 to March 2019. When he left Cashcrate, he became the Director of Technology for Powercode.

He describes himself on Linked in as a “Web Engineer, Systems Administrator and Engineering Manager with a business/engineering past. Specific interest in high-volume web applications using open source solutions.”

There are various ways you can make money on CashCrate. Here are some of the common ones:

Paid Surveys

Taking paid surveys is particularly popular. I should clarify that CashCrate does not provide you with the paid surveys but they refer you to other companies that do. They refer you to legit companies offering them.

There are many survey sites online because this is one of the most sought-after way of making money on CashCrate. All you have to do to earn is complete all the task required of the survey you are taking.

Rewards

It is one of the popular ways for people to earn money. There are two kinds of offers: free and paid. When it comes to free offers, you can find them on the website and they are usually provided by other companies once you sign up.

The good thing with Cash Crate is that it is free to join. As soon as you sign up, you receive a confirmation link via email. When you confirm your account, you can log in, choose your payment method, and start earning. For verifying your email, you get $1, which means that you have to sign in with a legit email and password. Once you hit $20USD, you can request a payout.

You can join Cashcrate from any country in the world though you will be better off if you speak English as people who speak English get more offers. You have to be above the age of 13 years to join.

Cons of CashCrate

CashCrate is legit as far as I can see. It is not a scam.

It is a legal and lawful survey and reward site. To some people, it comes across as a bit suspicious because it does not require people to have skills or qualifications to partake in its offers and there are so many programs that make that promise online.

The way it works is relatively straightforward. You can mix up survey-taking and referral programs to optimize your time and earn more money. You can even leverage social media accounts to show ads.

To earn money off of Cash Crate, all you need to do is know your earning goals. As some people have found out, compared to other companies with a similar business model, it is optimized for you to hit your earning goals faster. That makes this company superior to alternatives you will find online.

Having said that, it is important to note that this is not a get-rich-quick scheme. This means that CashCrate is not a way to get rich quickly by making more than enough money to live on. There are some misleading ads (the false advertising may not be affiliated with CashCrate) that pass this message but that is usually not the case. You should view CashCrate as a company that offers you another income stream that earns you cash alongside your other sources of income.

My CashCrate Verdict

As mentioned, CashCrate is a legit reward program and not a scam. It shut down its business temporarily in 2019 but it has since made a comeback.

CashCrate has been around for over 15 years and has garnered millions of members during that time. However, there isn’t much information about the company on the internet except what’s on their website and a few reviews.

In one CashCrate review, someone says that the company runs pretty uneventfully, unlike some other companies with similar rewards programs. As the review states, you can get paid to try offers, join contests, watch videos, play games, shop online (and receive payment through cashback portals), refer friends to earn, answer and complete surveys, and interact on social media sites.

The CashCrate model works because some huge companies want to receive much-needed customer feedback online. Such companies pay intermediaries like Cashcrate to connect them with reviewers and the company uses a portion of the money it gets to pay its members to answer survey questions or to check out promo products. These websites sometimes reward customers for shopping online.
