Introduction to Empire SPAC Investor

The Empire SPAC Investor is a new investment research service that will be published by the Empire Financial Research. It’s chief editor is Enrique Abeyta.

Whitney Tilson's Empire Spac Investor

As the name suggests, Enrique started offering the service to give investment advice touching on SPACs.

A SPAC, short for Special Acquisition Company, is a company that has no commercial operations that is established to raise money through an IPO that is then used to acquire an existing private company.

In that sense, a SPAC is used to turn a private company (the acquired) into a publicly traded one without having to conduct an IPO.

Enrique believes that SPACs are a hot investment right now and retail investors are not as well informed as they should to partake in them. That’s why he started offering the service.

He also acknowledges that for everyday folks, it’s not always possible to invest in some of the best private companies in the world before they go public because there are always off-limits.

But SPACs offer a solution for this because when private companies are going public by merging with them, you can invest using a normal brokerage account. It’s like getting access to pre-IPO stocks.

Is Empire SPAC Investor Legit?

Empire SPAC Investor is legit.

Whitney Tilson is a former hedge-fund manager and one of the most bankable investment analysts around. He has over 20 years experience working as a money manager and you cannot put it past him to be well-versed in the workings of SPACs.

Although this doesn’t mean that his recommendations will be profitable, it doesn’t take away from him the fact that he is qualified and a credible analyst.

Empire SPAC Investor Verdict

There isn’t enough information that is readily available to the public about good SPAC investment opportunities. Therefore, retail investors haven’t always been in a position to take advantage of the opportunities that are still mostly available to the elites and the rich.

And that’s where Empire SPAC Investor comes in. Although quite expensive ($3,000/yr), it alerts Main Street investors to investments they’d otherwise not know of.

SPACs have been getting a lot of attention and with a large number of private companies seeking to go public in the next few months, you can understand why this has been the case. They offer private companies an alternative way to go public and it appears that there will be money to be made there.

It is hard to judge whether Empire SPAC Investor will live up to expectations because it is still relatively new. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see how it performs first.
