Introduction to New Tech Poised To Kill Oil

The webinar was hosted by Lauren Sivan, who was interviewing Matt Mccall. They started the pitch by showering praise on McCall, citing how he picked 23 different tech investing opportunities that each went on to deliver as much as 1,000% returns.

Matt also gave what he termed as the most ambitious forecast of his career that has to do with some important scientific breakthroughs.

We learn that he is talking about solar energy and the gist of it is that solar (and other alternative energy sources) may soon take over from oil as the most important sources of energy.

Matt looks at it from an investor’s perspective when he says that it will impact the $80 trillion-dollar world economy. He also points out that high net worth individuals and top technology players are dedicating a lot of money to solar power.

He mentions that governments are investing in solar and people like Apple CEO Tim Cook, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos are among those who are pumping money into solar power – to exemplify just how serious people are about it.

According to Matt, solar power has the potential to be bigger than 5G, blockchain, and the Internet of Things.

How to invest in the New Tech Poised To Kill Oil

Matt has identified one company that will thrive as solar power becomes more dominant. It is called SolarEdge (NASDAQ: SEDG).

He states that SolarEdge is a good pick because it has become a go-to supplier of hardware for residential solar installations and is becoming a dominant player in the market. It has had steady three-year revenue growth of 44.3%.

However, he doesn’t see it as the best investment because with a valuation of $13 billion, he thinks it is too big and it will take long for investors to see meaningful gains. Therefore, he is telling his subscribers to go for smaller players that will inevitably have greater potential and likely to grow by bigger margins faster.

He has lined up three companies that he thinks are great picks and written a report titled 3 Stocks for the $1 Trillion Solar Revolution.

The first company makes inverters, the second one deals with batteries, and the third one is in electric cars.

Is New Tech Poised To Kill Oil Legit?

I think the presentation is legit.

First, I think Matt McCall is a real investing expert and his publisher, InvestorPlace, is a genuine company — their site has a lot of helpful content that they allow you to consume for free and you can tell from the quality that they are credible.

To be honest, the whole interview format is overkill because the fundamental message (investing in solar power is a viable form of investment) could have easily been passed by an article. But, you can’t blame them for doing it as they want to promote a newsletter and anything that gives them eyeballs goes.

New Tech Poised To Kill Oil Verdict

New Tech Poised To Kill Oil is a presentation by Matt that, besides promoting his newsletter, warms us up to the idea that solar power can be a decent addition to our portfolios. That being said, signing up for McCall’s service and expecting to get rich by following his recommendations is not guaranteed to work because that’s not how the world of investing operates.

Concerning solar companies, there is a lot of promise there because it is a nascent sector and it has a lot of potential. It certainly has attracted a lot of interest from investors and techies. However, that shouldn’t distract you from the fact that solar has a lot of challenges to overcome if it is to become as great a source of energy as McCall tells us. That shouldn’t stop you from seeking good companies though.
