What Is Peak Velocity Trader?

Peak Velocity Trader is an investment advisory service offered by Michael Carr and published by Banyan Hill Publishing.

This is not the first trading service I’ve reviewed, in fact recently I shared reviews of Alpha 9 and 10x Trader.

The trading strategy he uses to deliver his recommendations is the result of 10 years of research and stress testing.

In technical terms, Michael has a four-line code that can tell when a stock is about to take off. When a stock is in this state, it is said to be hitting “peak velocity” – which is the best time to purchase it at a low price and sell it after its bull run.

When the trading platform spots a trade, Michael and his team analyze it before they forward it to their subscribers. To maximize gains, instead of trading stock directly, Michael recommends options that are based on the stock.

Positions can be held as long as it is needed to tap maximum gains while preventing the erosion of gains. Options may be held as long as 18 months.

Who Started Peak Velocity Trader?

Michael Carr started investing while he was still a junior officer in the military.

He took the plunge in October 1987 but it coincided with a Market Crash.

He lost half of his investment (but it had a happy ending because he recovered shortly after).

After his initial success, he was intrigued by investing. Therefore, he read anything he could about the stock market in his off-time and decided to chase a career in the finance industry. He took SEC tests and passed them.

He later got certified by the Chartered Market Technicians (CMT) Association. By being a CMT, he demonstrated that he had acquired the requisite knowledge to be an expert at technical analysis. He is still involved with the CMT Association.

Among other things, he currently publishes newsletters with Banyan Hill Publishing. His most popular advisory services are Precision Profits and Peak Velocity Trader.

How Does Peak Velocity Trader Work?

Is Peak Velocity Trader A Scam?

Peak Velocity Trader is not a scam.

For one, Michael is a CMT whose continued involvement with the organization’s Ethics and Standards Committee as its chair means that he has to lead by example.

The committee’s mission is to uphold ethical practices in the financial services industry and part of that is to not mislead vulnerable investors with a fraudulent service.

Pros of Peak Velocity Trader

Options have better earning potential than stocks.
Michael’s strategy encourages diversification. He does not specialize in one industry or sector.
