Power Portfolio 2020 Review

Introduction to Power Portfolio 2020
The “Power Portfolio 2020” summit by Louis Navellier and Matt McCall is an ad for a report by the same name. It is affiliated to the Early Warning Summit 2020.
The report is a compilation of a list of stock recommendations that both analysts expect will be major hits in 2020.
They don’t tell us whether these are long term recommendations or short term ones, all they say is that the list will be adjusted as new opportunities come to bear and old, defunct ones lose their allure.
The Power Portfolio 2020 report represents a convergence in both their approaches; a set of recommendations that indicate agreement in two contrasting views.
Here are some key points from the presentation before we dissect it:
- Throughout the presentation, it is apparent that Louis and Matt expect 2020 to be a bullish year. They even suggest that 2020 will be the greatest year in stock market history regardless of the predictions most analysts are making.
- Both analysts brush aside fears of recession saying that the Trump presidency has helped the stock market be at its best using what he calls the “Trump Effect” (in the economic sense). They even proclaim that Trump will be re-elected riding on the bullish market.
- Consumer confidence is high which signals a bullish market.
- They both dismiss the yield-inversion curve that has been used to predict recessions in the past.

Who is behind Power Portfolio 2020?
Louis Navellier
Louis is best known as one of the leading quants of his generation. A Forbes article referred to him as one of the pioneers of quantitative analysis, which is the practice of using mathematical models to predict stock movements.
He is said to have predicted the Black Monday stock market correction of 1987, the 2008 Financial Crisis, and the Dot Com crash of 2000. He also recommended Amazon, Apple, and Google before they became the massive companies they are today.
Louis is an expert analyst who has been offering investment advice to tens of thousands of readers for three decades through his newsletters. His firm, Navellier & Associates, has recorded a 4,000% return.
Matt McCall
Matt is the founder of Penn Financial Group, a money management firm that uses the top-down approach to manage its clients’ asset portfolio.
He is also the author of a book called The Next Great Bull Market in which he predicted the bull run that defined the broader market for much of the 2010s.
He also predicted the rise of precision medicine and the mass adoption of solar energy. His top 16 recommendations have averaged at least 1,000% gains.
In the past ten years, he has focused his energy on individual stocks and ETFs distinguishing himself as one of only a handful of analysts who are experts in both areas. He combines technical analysis and fundamental analysis to arrive at his winning recommendations.

Why the Power Portfolio 2020 works
In the Power Portfolio 2020 presentation, Matt draws comparisons between the current market with previous bullish markets. He says that the market will soar because:
- We have low inflation
- We have a business-friendly government
- We are on the cusp of a technological revolution.
To expound on the third point, technologies like 5G, the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and advanced robotics will improve productivity and lead to exponential economic growth.
As a result, companies will take shorter to achieve a market cap of $1 billion.
The “Trump Effect”, which is the result of Trump’s policies like deregulating the economy, reducing taxes and pushing the Fed to further lower the interest rates has created a business-friendly environment and lowered inflation.

How does Power Portfolio 2020 Work?
Matt and Louis have contrasting approaches to investing. Matt is more hands-on and uses a top-down approach – he visits companies, attends events, tests products, and reviews scientific papers. This has been apparent in my reviews of Quantum Glass Battery and Keystone Technology.
Louis, on the other hand, uses computer models to scan and analyze the market looking for trends and the viable investment opportunities that come with them as we have seen in my reviews of Quantum A System and his “The Most Disruptive Innovation We’ve Seen in 45 Years” presentation.
They have now combined their approaches to handpick stocks that will crush the markets over the next 12 months. These stocks make up the Power Portfolio.
A majority of them are also relatively small, which means they are likely to grow exponentially within a short time frame.

Is Power Portfolio 2020 a Scam?
The Power Portfolio 2020 is not a scam. It is the result of Louis and Matt bringing together their experience and expertise to create a list of stocks that may perform great in 2020. That being said, they are not guaranteed to become the most successful stocks in 12 months as the markets are unpredictable. Take their advice with a grain of salt and invest money that you wouldn’t mind losing.
Pros of Power Portfolio 2020
- The power portfolio encourages diversification because the stocks in it come from various industries.
- Using Louis’ algorithms, you can bet on market trends without letting your emotions get in the way.
- As algorithms get better, the predictions made are more accurate. Therefore, the recommendations made now are more accurate.
- Power Portfolio 2020 combines the experiences and expertise of two analysts.
Cons of Power Portfolio 2020
- Historical patterns are not always an accurate predictor of the future.
- Small companies are subject to higher levels of volatility and are, therefore, riskier.

Power Portfolio 2020 Verdict
The Power Portfolio 2020 brings together two analysts with contrasting styles. Throughout the presentation, Matt and Louis frequently refer to past bull patterns using them to accredit what they think will happen in 2020.
While they may be vindicated, it will take luck and various factors aligning for things to turn out the way they predict. They may also end up being wrong.
They both think that we are in for a bull market rather than a recession even as we have seen the yield curve invert – an indicator that has reliably predicted recessions in recent times. Only time will tell whether they were right.
