What Is The Rebound Profit Summit / Trader ?

Rebound Profit Summit promotes a service called the Rebound Profit Trader offered by Paul Mampilly and Ian Dyer.

It’s a service that focuses on something called “Rebound Trades” which I will explain in detail below.

It is published by Banyan Hill Publishing.

The newsletter is based on a form of value investing Paul calls rebound investing where you make “Rebound Trades”.

With this strategy, he and Ian pick stocks that they think are trading for less than their intrinsic value.

Most of what they do is look for stocks (with strong fundamentals) that are in a bad period but that are showing signs of experiencing an uptrend.

For example, they find a stock that is having a bad week and they analyze it thoroughly to see whether the poor performance is an accurate reflection of the company’s prospects.

If it has good long-term fundamentals, they chalk it up as a rebound trades candidate.

The method works because sometimes, a share’s fall in value is caused by temporary factors like market volatility, negative investor sentiment, overblown reactions to good or bad news, or industry tensions.

If the company weathers the temporary slump, it presents Paul and his readers with an opportunity to ride its upswing when it inevitably comes.

The key advantage of this strategy is that it allows you to buy good stock cheaply.

The system also tells you when to sell.

Positions usually remain open for a couple of weeks before Paul calls time on them and moves on to the next trades.

Trading Options

Paul prefers derivatives to securities because they are cheaper (to buy) and they tend to bring more money for comparative capital investment.

When they find a rebounding stock, the next step is to find the right options contract that will place you in pole position to benefit from the uptrend.

Paul Mampilly

Paul has been in the finance industry for more than 25 years.

During that time, he has risen from his humble beginnings as an assistant portfolio manager to a hedge fund manager handling billions of dollars.

He left Wall Street because he wanted to help ordinary investors make their dreams come true.

To achieve that, he runs a couple of advisory services and newsletters under the auspices of Banyan Hill Publishing.

Ian Dyer

Ian Dyer is a quantitative analyst. He graduated with a degree in Finance from Duquesne University.

He has worked with Paul on a couple of newsletters.

Is Rebound Profit Summit A Scam?

Rebound Profit Trader is not a scam.

Although I think that the numbers being thrown around are an exaggeration, the rebound trades investment strategy is legitimate.

As I alluded earlier, it is based on the principle of value investing – it is a common strategy that Paul has only modified slightly.

Moreover, Paul has an impressive money management track record and, therefore, you can trust that he is offering a genuine service.

Pros

The recommendations are inexpensive. A stock that is performing badly sells cheap.
It encourages diversification: Paul does not focus on one sector.

Cons

There’s the danger of finding a company whose shares may never recover from the setbacks.

Verdict For Rebound Profit Summit

When you subscribe to Rebound Profit Trader, you are accepting to become a contrarian – you are refusing to follow the herd.

It may feel alien at first because most of what Paul and Ian recommend goes against the grain in many ways.

Therefore, you have to place your full trust in their hypothesis and block out what everyone else is doing or saying.

If you can’t stand doing that, you have to look past Rebound Profit Trader.
