What is Smart Crowd?
Smart Crowd (formerly known as virtual bee) is a website that connects people who need certain jobs completed with workers who can do them. It is a source of online jobs for independent contractors (freelancers) who want to make money online.
The tasks are usually simple, like data entry or transcribing audio files, and they don’t require any special skills or qualifications.
The company claims that you can earn up to $500 per month working from home, and that there are always new tasks available. But is Smart Crowd legit? And if so, is it worth your time?
In this article, we’ll take a close look at Smart Crowd and answer all of your questions. We’ll also give you our honest opinion on whether or not we think it’s worth signing up for.
I decided to sign up for Smart Crowd to see if it was worth my time. The sign-up process was very simple and only took a few minutes.
I then had access to the task dashboard, where I could see all of the available tasks.
Most of the tasks were data entry or transcription jobs, and they paid anywhere from $0.50 to $0.60 per task.

Who are the founders of Smart Crowd?
The smart crowd was founded in 2008 by a group of entrepreneurs who saw the potential for using technology to connect businesses with a global network of workers. The company is headquartered in the United States and has offices in Europe and Asia.
The founders of Smart Crowd are James Beshara, J.D., and Christopher Maser.
Beshara is also the co-founder of TaskRabbit, an on-demand platform that connects people with local service providers.
Maser is a serial entrepreneur who has founded or co-founded several companies, including eLance (now Upwork), a leading online marketplace for freelancers and businesses. He also has experience working in the staffing industry.
It is part of Lionbridge, a platform that allows you to work as a translator, social media evaluator, search engine evaluator, and transcriptionist, among other jobs.

How do you make money with Smart Crowd?
There are a few different ways to make money with Smart Crowd. The most popular way is by becoming a “tasker”.
Taskers are essentially freelance workers who complete tasks for clients that they find through the Smart Crowd platform.
Taskers can sign up for as many or as few tasks as they want, and they can work whenever they want. Payment is made through PayPal, and taskers can withdraw their earnings at any time.
Paid Surveys
Another way to make money with Smart Crowd is by taking part in paid surveys. This reminds me of Survey Voices, which also allows you to take part in paid surveys.
Surveys usually take around 15 minutes to complete, and payments are made via PayPal once you reach the minimum payout amount of $50.
Referrals
Finally, you can also earn cash by referring friends to Smart Crowd. For every friend that you refer who completes a task, you’ll earn $0.50.

How much does Smart Crowd pay?
Like many other companies, Smart Crowd’s pay rate depends on the task you’re completing. The company pays workers anywhere from $0.01 to $0.50 per task, with most tasks falling somewhere in the middle.
While this may not seem like a lot of money, it is possible to complete a large number of tasks in a relatively short amount of time. This can result in a decent hourly wage if you’re able to work quickly and efficiently.
One thing to keep in mind is that Smart Crowd does not always have a lot of tasks available. This can make it difficult to earn a consistent income from the site.
However, if you’re only looking to make some extra money on the side, Smart Crowd can be a great option.
How to make money online with Data Entry Work
There are a number of ways to make money with data entry. The most common way is to find a company that will pay you for your services.
There are also a number of companies that offer data entry jobs on a freelance basis. And if that’s not appealing, you can also make money by setting up your own data entry business.
Another way to make money with data entry is to join a paid online survey panel like Smart Crowd or Survey Junkie.
Paid online surveys are a great way to make extra money, and they’re usually pretty easy to do. All you need is an email address and an opinion! Most panels will pay you in cash or rewards points, which can be redeemed for prizes or gift cards.
Of course the amount you are able to make will be limited, that is just the nature of the business.

Pros of Smart Crowd
Low Payout Limit
One of the great things about Smart Crowd is that they have a very low minimum payout.
You can cash out your earnings as soon as you reach $30, which is much lower than many other similar companies. They also pay out very quickly, usually within a few days.
Multiple avenues of making money
Another plus is that Smart Crowd offers a variety of ways to earn money.
In addition to completing tasks and surveys, you can also earn by referring new members. And if you’re looking for more of a challenge, they also offer contests where you can win cash prizes.
There are some cons though so let’s take a look at those now.
Cons of Smart Crowd
Low Pay
The first thing to note is that the pay is very low. You’re not going to get rich quick with this company.
The tasks are usually very simple and don’t pay much, sometimes as little as a few cents.
And the surveys tend to be on the longer side, so you won’t be able to earn a lot of money with them either.
Fierce competition
Another downside is that there can be a lot of competition for tasks and surveys.
This means that it can take a while to actually earn anything, and you may have to apply for several tasks before you’re actually accepted for one.
You can improve your chances by doing well in placement evaluations.
It is Geo-Restricted
Finally, Smart Crowd is only available to members in certain countries. So if you don’t live in one of those countries, you won’t be able to join.

Alternatives To Smart Crowd
There are a few alternatives to Smart Crowd that you can consider if you’re looking for similar services.
One option is Amazon Mechanical Turk, which is a marketplace for digital tasks that need to be completed.
Another option is Clickworker, which is a platform that allows businesses to crowdsource various tasks.
If you’re looking for a smart crowd alternative, these are two options that you can consider. Both platforms have their own pros and cons, so be sure to do your research before choosing one.
Whichever platform you choose, make sure that it’s reputable and has good reviews from users.
Is Smart Crowd Similar To Virtual Bee?
I’m sure you’ve heard of Virtual Bee, another micro tasking platform. Both platforms require no experience and offer very simple tasks that can be completed in a short amount of time. So, is smart crowd just another virtual bee?
Technically, Smart Crowd is what was formerly known as Virtual Bee.
Virtual Bee was formerly known as “Key For Cash.” They have differences:
First, smart crowd offers a wider variety of tasks than virtual bee. You can find everything from data entry to transcription on smart crowd.
Second, smart crowd pays slightly more per task than virtual bee. Finally, smart crowd requires that you complete a short qualification test before you can start working, while virtual bee does not have this requirement.
So overall, smart crowd is probably a better alternative to Virtual Bee.
Is Smart Crowd Legit?
Is Smart Crowd legit? Yes, it is a legit company. You can definitely make some extra cash by using this platform. Just be aware that earnings will vary depending on the tasks that you choose to do, and how much time you’re willing to put in. It may not make you as much money as an online business, but it offers you a platform to earn extra income with working-from-home jobs.
Smart crowd is a site that you can use to make money as an independent contractor by completing tasks. The tasks are usually very simple, such as filling out surveys or watching videos.
The payments for these tasks are also very low, so it would take a long time to make any significant amount of money.
Smart Crowd is not a scam, but it is not a great way to earn money either as your earning ability is going to be very limited.

Our Smart Crowd Verdict
After doing some research and taking a closer look at the platform, we believe that Smart Crowd is legit.
It’s a legitimate way to make money by completing tasks online. However, we would caution against expecting to make a full-time income from this platform. If you’re looking to earn some extra cash, then Smart Crowd is a great option. But if you’re looking to replace your full-time income, then you may want to consider other options.
