It is a summit that was hosted by Stansberry Research on 4th March at 8 pm ET and in it, Whitney Tilson and Thomas Carroll were talking about investing in the marijuana sector.

Introduction to 2021 Empire Cannabis Summit
The 2021 Empire Cannabis Summit was held by Stansberry Research and the discussion centered on investing in cannabis stock. The panelists claimed that they think Cannabis is the next big investment opportunity of the decade.
They mention that pot stocks like Aphria, Columbia Care, Cresco Labs, GrowGeneration, Jushi Holdings, and Trulieve Cannabis have made massive gains in the past few months. They believe that these companies have skyrocketed since the middle of last year and a company like GrowGeneration has witnessed 526% gain and Jushi Holdings has seen a 283% rise in its stock value.
Tom Carroll attributes this massive stock movement to four catalysts:
- Cannabis companies gaining access to the US financial system and markets. He says that soon, cannabis companies will have access to local and national banks.
- Cannabis companies accessing the main stock exchanges. He says that soon, they could be allowed to list on NASDAQ and the New York Stock Exchange thus opening them to investments from millions more investors as well as institutional investors.
- The third catalyst will be consolidation. With access to the banking system and capital markets, he expects larger companies to consolidate the market and buy up hot, smaller companies.
- The fourth catalyst will be the rise of pick and shovel companies i.e. companies that offer services like labels, packaging, and distribution. this will help make the industry even more mainstream.

Who Is Behind 2021 Empire Cannabis Summit?
There are two key members of the panel that broadcasted the summit: Tom Carroll and Whitney Tilson.
Tom Carroll is one of the top investment analysts at Stansberry Research where he specializes on health care and the cannabis industry. He has appeared on networks like CNBC and Fox Business over the last decade.
In addition to those outlets, he has been featured on Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, Bloomberg, USA Today, Kiplinger’s, and The Street.
Whitney Tilson is also an investment analyst who founded Empire Financial Research. He is a former hedge fund manager who started his career with $1 million in assets under management. From there, he grew the portfolio to more than $200 million within a dozen years.
He has been a speaker at various forums including one hosted by Google and others by prestigious schools like Harvard, Columbia, and Wharton. Whitney Tilson has also been featured by the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, the Washington Post, the New York Times, and CNN.

Is 2021 Empire Cannabis Summit Legit?
Yes, the 2021 Empire Cannabis Summit is legit.
The summit is basically a discussion among investment analysts talking about investing in the cannabis market now before it undergoes growth — as they believe it will. They emphasize that pot stocks have a massive profit potential (if the market pans out as they hope it will).
You don’t have to agree with them regarding this but need to take their recommendations with a grain of salt.
2021 Empire Cannabis Summit Verdict
If you are interested in investing in the cannabis market, then you may learn something from the summit. However, you shouldn’t take the advice given without vetting it because Tom and Tilson are mainly giving general investment advice. They are not offering personal advice (even if you subscribe to the newsletter).
