The “Dark Market Real Estate” presentation by Ronan Mcmahon is an advert for his investment advisory, Real Estate Trend Alert.

In the presentation, he says that the best real estate investments aren’t found by browsing the internet because the wealthy people who make a killing in the industry keep the biggest ones away from the public.

How does Dark Market Real Estate Work?
As Ronan was doing his rounds selling ‘normal’ real estate more than 20 years ago, he realized that the best parts of some buildings – penthouses and corner apartments – were reserved even before the property hit the market.
He learned that in the dark market real estate, developers reach out to their wealthy investor friends and well-connected brokers first.
Once these people have had their fill of apartments at “lower-than-average” prices, it goes to the market at “normal” prices because, at that point, the developer has cash flow and, therefore, doesn’t have the incentive to issue discounts.
For example, a $200,000 condo on the dark market can be sold to an insider for $150,000.
Ronan now wants to get you in on those investments: You buy them at lower-than-average rates but can sell them on at normal market prices and earn a profit.
