Mike Lindell’s Political Rallies
Mike Lindell hosted the Missouri summit where he is said to have perpetuated various conspiracy theories about the 2020 election.
The MyPillow CEO called the summit “the most important event in our lifetimes,” and he had it live-streamed on his website.
Among the speakers at the event were Dr Douglas Frank and Jenna Ellis. Dr. Douglas Frank is an Ohio math teacher who became infamous for making controversial claims about the 2020 election. Jenna, on the other hand, is Trump’s former campaign attorney.
Mike told the crowd that they should always vote in person. He said, “tell everybody you know, you have to vote in person. In person,”
Mike Lindell’s Controversy
Mike Lindell’s passionate support of Donald Trump has proven to be a blessing and a curse for MyPillow. Since Trump’s electoral defeat in 2020, things haven’t been all rosy for Mike Lindell.
Lindell has been making repeated claims that the presidential election was stolen from Trump. This led to a series of MyPillow boycotts, along with a Twitter ban. He even faces a defamation lawsuit.
Defamation Lawsuit by Dominion
The defamation lawsuit was brought forth by Dominion Voting Systems. Mike Lindell’s accused the company of “stealing millions of votes” and rigging the 2020 presidential election. In response to these claims, the company filed a $1.3 billion lawsuit citing Lindell’s election fraud allegations were a marketing ploy to sell more pillows.
$1.3 billion is certainly a large amount of money and could be large enough to bankrupt Mike Lindell & MyPillow. According to some websites looking into Mike Lindell, his net worth is between $300 million and $310 million. That’s still less than $1.3 billion.
Mike Lindell hasn’t been letting this get to him and has, in fact, only ramped up his rhetoric. He believes that he’ll win the lawsuit and that when it goes to the Supreme Court, he will win in a 9-0 majority.

The Better Business Bureau Downgrading MyPillow’s Rating
In 2017, the Better Business Bureau revoked MyPillow’s accreditation, downgrading its rating to an F. The explanation for this was that the company had a shady “Buy One, Get One” offer that had become a permanent feature. They argued that this wasn’t an offer, but rather the normal price of the products.
Major retailers stopped selling My Pillow products and Lindell thought that they did that because of his claims relating to the 2020 United States presidential election results. Lindell decided to step down as CEO and appoint his son to the position.
During the pandemic, Mike Lindell also became infamous for promoting the plant extract oleandrin as a cure for COVID-19. He pushed it hard although there wasn’t scientific evidence that oleandrin was a safe or effective treatment against the virus. He may have been doing that because he sits on the board of Phoenix Biotechnology, a company that makes oleandrin.
Lost Revenue
Although these developments haven’t stopped him from supporting Trump and claiming the election was stolen, the bad publicity has certainly cost his business. The boycotts, the Twitter ban. and other consequences of his actions have affected the MyPillow bottom line.
He said in an interview, “I lost 20 retailers, and it’s cost me $65 million this year that I won’t get back, OK? There’s your story. Print it right. Don’t try and twist it,”
Therefore, even if he wins the case, Mike Lindell has been financially hurt by all this, and his net worth has taken a beating.

In addition to that, in 2019, he launched the Lindell Recovery Network to connect addicts that have had drug addictions.
Launching a New Social Media Platform
A little while ago, reports emerged that Lindell was launching a social media platform. He said that it would be a platform that looked like a blend of Youtube and Twitter called “Vocl.”
However, Lindell was forced to change the name to “Frank,” because of a dispute with a company that had established a website called Vocal. It had taken him a few years years to develop Frank.
