Introduction to Overnight Trades

Overnight Trades by Bryan Bottarelli is a mode of investment that makes money when the markets are closed (during the night).

He sends out trade alerts as the market closes enabling you to place your trades and collect your profits in the morning.

The companies he recommends come from a wide variety of industries ranging from retail stores to fast food companies.

He claims that his strategy has had a 3:1 win ratio taking into account wins and losses. It has made 6,700% in returns in a few months.

Who is behind Overnight Trades?

Bryan Bottarelli was into business and investing from a very young age. Consequently, he joined Indiana University Kelley School of Business from where he graduated with a business degree.

Straight out of college, he got a job on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange. While he worked there under the watchful eye of experienced traders, he learned the inner workings of the financial system.

He even witnessed the tech boom at the turn of the millennium first hand.

He soon outgrew the trading floor and quit his day job.

He went on to launch an independent advisory service called Bottarelli Research.

His job was to analyze the market and come up with profitable recommendations.

He moderates The War Room – an elite trading forum.

How does Overnight Trades Work?

Bottarelli says that when markets close at 4 PM, Wall Street does not stop trading. Billions of dollars’ worth of trades are placed overnight.

Consequently, some share prices move up during the night. His system can recognize these patterns beforehand enabling you to place your trades before the market closes.

In the morning, more money rushes in driving stock prices even higher.

How Bryan identifies Overnight Trades

He uses a three-step system to spot these trades:

Price. He avoids expensive stocks first because they are too heavily tracked by Wall Street and out of reach – he prefers plays that he can acquire for $5,000 or less.
Power. He looks for big momentum (the power behind the stock) caused by big waves of cash flowing into a stock.
Profit. He looks for plays that can at least double his money overnight.

Since trades are derived from various industries, Bottarelli’s strategy encourages diversification – which is great for managing risk.
You don’t have to sit in front of a screen for long periods like day traders.

Most option recommendations are derived from well-established companies, not volatile penny stocks. Bryan frequently refers to them as ‘boring’ owing to their stability.

Cons of Overnight Trades

Options are not as straightforward as stocks. Therefore, options trading is tough for many people to wrap their heads around.

Although I think that Overnight Trades is a legit strategy, it doesn’t excite me; not nearly as much as some other options trading strategies, I’ve encountered over the years. I have reached this conclusion because I am not convinced that you can make money overnight with the regularity that Bryan says he does.

That being said, I have nothing against the strategy and find the chat room format more efficient than newsletters.

Although following the overnight trades strategy may turn out to be one of the best decisions you make, follow it with a clear mind and only invest money you won’t mind losing.
