The Big RIP is a pitch published by Banyan Hill Publishing to promote Ian King’s newsletter, Automatic Fortunes.
It concerns a “wealth transfer” that will create wealth opportunities for thousands of Americans. To be precise, it will be the opportunity to benefit from a $34.4 trillion tech upgrade.
Ian King bemoans the media’s alarmist reporting for scaring the ordinary investors from the market, which often leads to many of them missing out on the returns they’d otherwise have earned.
He has identified a technological innovation that he claims could create a $34.4 trillion infusion of wealth into the market.
He is referring to the blockchain (and cryptocurrencies).
From his perspective, he believes that the blockchain will bring changes to the finance sector and could even alter the banking industry irreversibly. He even mentions that cryptocurrencies have the capacity to replace money.
He blames the media for giving the technology a bad wrap and is discouraging his listeners from taking it seriously.

Who Is Behind “The Big RIP” presentation?
Ian King has more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry.
He started his career journey as an intern at Merrill Lynch in the middle of the 1990s bull market. Next, he worked for Salomon Brothers in their famed mortgage bond trading department.
King then became the head trader at Peahi Capital. Note, Peahi Capital is a New York-based hedge fund where his team recorded an annualized gain of 261% in 2008 amid one of the most consequential financial crises. He believes that his success during the financial crisis proved that he can thrive in any market.
He spends most of his time researching emerging technology-based investment opportunities before they go mainstream. For example, he invested in Tesla and went on to amass 1,230% in positive returns in less than a decade.

Is The Big RIP Legit?
The Big RIP is a legit presentation during which Ian King talks about investing in cryptocurrencies as a legitimate way to make money.
In that regard, he is not wrong because cryptocurrencies have had a very good year in 2020 because people are using them to diversify their portfolios. Cryptocurrencies have generally been one of the most profitable investments and taking the example of Bitcoin (BTC), it is easy to see why analysts are excited about investing in them.
That being said, the market is still fraught with risks and you have to take them into account when evaluating Ian King’s recommendations.
The Big RIP Verdict
In The Big RIP, what Ian King refers to as an unstoppable $34.4 trillion tech upgrade is really about investing in cryptocurrencies. Cryptocurrencies have done exceptionally well in 2020 and Bitcoin has soared to 2017 highs (as I write this).
Therefore, King’s excitement is merited. However, it is important to remind you that he is not recommending that you invest in digital currencies directly. Instead, he is pointing to stocks of companies that will have a part to play in the blockchain revolution and that’s one way to play it.
There are no guarantees that his recommendations will pay off so it’s best to act cautiously if you intend to follow his advice.
