What is The Oxford Club?

The Oxford Club is a private financial publisher owned by Agora Financial (the Agora).

Its main function is to provide financial strategies and recommendations to their members so that they can attain financial independence.

the oxford club

The Oxford Club is headquartered in Baltimore Maryland (it did switch its location briefly in 2018 to Canada).

I’ve reviewed many newsletters from the parent company of The Oxford Club.

I’ve also reviewed The Oxford Club’s own “Retire Rich On One $3 Stock” presentation.

The Club dates back in the 1970s (we couldn’t find the date), initially referred to as The Merchants & Brokers Exchange.

It was founded by Gary Scott, an American whose business was to sell mutual funds and insurance.

Over time, the Club has undergone major revolutions to become what it is today.

Currently, it has over 80,000 members and it is operating in over 100 countries.

The “Club Keys” To Success

In the pursuit of wealth, The Oxford Club has its own definition of what it means to be wealthy. They define it based on what they refer to as the “club keys” to success.

The Oxford Club Reviews - Scam or Legit? 7

Here is a breakdown of these Club Keys:

Monetary Gain and Financial Freedom

The Club’s main goal is not to accumulate money and resources but to help its members attain financial freedom.

Making money is a means to the end, which is financial freedom.

The Club has strategic ways of helping its members build and protect their wealth (these are the things that matter to them).

The Club helps it members to attain freedom from work that is derailing, from being needy and helpless, from relationships that limit them, and from anxiety that is caused by financial uncertainties such as retirement and legacy for their children. It is all about having options in all aspects of life.

As much as money alone cannot buy happiness, financial freedom attained through The Club helps members to focus on other parts of their lives and to live a richer and fuller life.

Extraordinary Experiences

The Oxford Club acknowledges the fact that financial freedom is not the only definition of wealth but living life to the fullest.

The Club helps its members to experience life better by organizing travels to help the members explore the world as well as create opportunities for networking. Subscribers are usually visiting locations affiliated with the club.

This opportunity is created in the Club through the Oxford Voyager Club that is available to all members of the Oxford Club. For more details on these experiences, members have to log in to the site from your phone or computer browser or contact customer care.

Personal Achievement

The Oxford Club, through its content, helps its members to attain self-resilience.

This means that members are encouraged to take ownership of all aspects of their lives such as health, personal relationships, saving and investment goals, without assigning them to other people.

This helps the members to have freedom to control and improve their lives and attain a sense of personal achievement.

Opportunities To Give Back

The Oxford Club promotes giving back to society and making a difference in other people’s lives.

The Club has projects that it runs in developing nations such as Nicaragua through the donations made by members.

The Oxford Club Helps Build Relationships

The Oxford Club is a club made up of people that share an interest in finding unique investment opportunities and agree that the best opportunities are found through personal connections.

Being a member of the Oxford Club helps you meet like-minded people to share ideas on how to grow and develop themselves.

To become a member of The Oxford Club, all you need to do is sign up. Once you sign up for one of the paid newsletters or services, you advance to the Premier Membership level.

With time, you can advance through the different distinction levels as your commitment to the club increases.

Newsletters and VIP offered by The Oxford Club

The Oxford Club offers a variety of trading services. I should clarify that these services do not provide customers with personalized investment advice. Here is how they’ve performed over the years as shown on the official site:

The Oxford Club Reviews - Scam or Legit? 9

As of writing this, the services offered by The Oxford Club include:

The Oxford Communique

Oxford Communique is the flagship service and it is edited by Alex Green. Each month, members have access to Alex’s thoughts on the capital markets. It has a printed version but you have to join via the site.

You don’t have to wait the entire month for insights because Alex sends you a weekly update called Oxford Communiqué Portfolio Update.

The Oxford Income Letter

When you join The Oxford Income Letter, Marc Lichtenfeld writes to you every month. As the name suggests, he focuses on investing for income. This includes things like dividend investing and other income-centric investments.

This service focuses on investors that are risk averse or just want a steady source of income. Marc has four separate portfolios as part of this service.

Oxford Growth Investor

This service is co-edited by David Fessler and Matthew Carr.

They have a proprietary “RPM Investment Strategy” that they use to find growth opportunities in the markets. Their approach is suited to long-term investors because it provides them with an assortment of high-growth recommendations.

VIP Trading Services

In addition to the newsletters, the Club also provides entrepreneurs with access to specialized investment research services. To join any of them, you have to visit the website and pay the requisite fees.

Is The Oxford Club Legit?

The Oxford Club is legit.

Although many people have benefited from being members of the club, there have been a number of complaints from some members particularly over profit promises that are never fulfilled.

To avoid that, before you accept any stock recommendation provided by the Oxford Club, it is important for you to do your own research since losses, gains and investments are your responsibility. Do not go into those recommendations with expectations of becoming wealthy merely by following them.

That being said I do not believe the Oxford Club is a scam, quite the opposite in fact as I believe they can provide you with a lot of legitimate help. Read the terms of the newsletters you choose to sign up for before you share your credit card information.

The Oxford Club Verdict

One of the advantages of becoming a member of the club is, you will have access to a broad range of investment approaches from the experts (although some newsletters are closed and you have to call customer support to learn more about them).

The second advantage is that you will get email alerts when the stocks are at their highest for investment or to sell shares. This is usually when there is activity within the market that can change the status of your investments.

The third advantage is you will also receive research reports on current investment opportunities such as investments in oil drilling, gold, pharmaceuticals, and many others.

The downside is that some of their services are relatively expensive and out of reach for a majority of individual investors.

They also don’t have an android or Apple app which limits accessibility by the new generation of investors who spend most of their time on their smartphones.

All in all I believe that The Oxford Club is a genuine business and one that can certainly help you if you are looking for profitable ways to invest your money.
