Younique – Overview

Younique is a network marketing company and it’s gained a lot of attention due to it’s fast growth. Also they have used social media and encouraged their reps to use it to build their businesses. This is very good in my opinion because many of the older network marketing companies are still using old methods that can work but often are outdated. In fact older companies like Young Living and AdvoCare are still a little behind the curve when it comes to social media in my opinion so it’s good to see Younique embrace it as a way to grow their business and their reps income too.

Let’s take a look at how it works and the products. Also you should know that I am not a rep of Younique so my review will be unbiased unlike some other peoples. You can trust that I am not going to try and sign you up to this company. This is simply a review to discuss the products and the compensation plan to help you decide impartially whether it’s for you.

The Younique Products

Their most popular product seems to be the 3D fiber lashes however other makeup products are popular too. The cosmetic industry is huge and many companies are fighting it out for the billions that consumers spend each year. In my opinion with the rise of social media and things like Instagram I think this industry is only going to continue to grow, whether for the right reasons or not, I’ll let you decide…

Looking at their website they are very focused on their brand and as I already mention actively encourage their reps to use social media in order to sell more products and recruit other reps. They actually pride themselves in being the first direct-sales company to market and sell almost exclusively through social media.

They use something called “Younique Virtual Parties” to try and bridge the gap between traditional home parties and social media. Home parties being the old school method of selling network marketing products and also recruiting new reps.

The good thing is there are many positive reviews for their products so obviously they are of good quality!

Is Younique Another Scam?

Definitely not in my opinion. Sure there are people who will call anything a scam but looking at the facts they are a genuine network marketing company with real products and real reps. Their business opportunity is legitimate, they have a solid compensation plan and good training to help you succeed. Are they the best out there? In my opinion no however in their industry they are certainly one of the top companies if that’s what you are looking for.

If you want to get started as a distributor then there are a few costs involved. You need to pay a $99 fee and your sales commissions range from 20% to 30%. This is generally pretty standard amongst this type of company and I’d be surprised if you could find higher ones within the cosmetic industry. To qualify for commissions you need $250 in retail sales, this can be tough if you are just starting off however it can easily be passed if you are persistent. This is really one of the negatives and also you need to sell at least $125 of products every 90 days to stay active in earning commissions.

Obviously there’s a few things you need to consider before jumping in, however in my honest opinion unless you are serious and committed to any company whether it’s this one or another you join then you shouldn’t bother getting started. If you want to be successful you need to be dedicated to the business, this is the same for any business really!

Younique – My Conclusion & Recommendation

If you’re looking at Younique for the products then all I can say is that they seem like a legitimate company.

If you’re interested in the business opportunity then I won’t be recommending them. In my opinion and experience I believe there are far better ways of making money and I think you’ll struggle to earn a life changing income with this company or any “traditional” network marketing company.
