Welcome to my review of a presentation recently put out by Charles Mizrahi of Banyan Hill Publishing titled the 10K Playbook.
He claims to have formulated an investment strategy that can “double your investment in the next four years.”
But is it any different from what scores of other investment gurus have presented to us before?
After watching the presentation and doing a bit of research, I put together this review wherein I delineate the key talking points of his pitch, which should help explain how his strategy works.

Introduction to 10K Playbook
10K Playbook, as we have established, is the title of a presentation made by Charles Mizrahi (he is “interviewed” by Corina Sullivan).
Although it is meant to promote an investment newsletter called Alpha Investor, Mizrahi also gets to talk about his trading strategy — how he picks out his winning trades.
To elaborate how effective the strategy is, he says that it enabled him to invest in stocks like Huntington, Apple, and Microsoft before they made historic gains.
It centers on a document he calls “the 10K Playbook” or “the Billionaire’s Playbook.”
All publicly-listed companies are obliged by law to file the document and executives are sworn under oath to ascertain that it is factual. He goes on to say that legendary investors like Jim Rogers and Warren Buffett also rely on it to make moves in the market.
So, what document is he talking about?
After doing some research, I found out that he was talking about the Annual Report.
An annual report is a document that all public companies must provide to stockholders every year detailing their operations and financial condition.
Charles Mizrahi reads it for the same reason that Buffett and Rogers do: to understand a company from the perspective of a businessman (or those who run it) rather than from the vantage point of a shareholders. He says that this gives him a better outlook of a company’s fundamentals, financial health, and determine its intrinsic value.
This enables him to hold a company’s stock even when it is temporarily plummeting without getting carried away like most investors do (who end up missing out on good returns)

Who Is Behind 10K Playbook?
10K Playbook was the work of Charles Mizrahi, who has more than four decades of experience in the finance sector. He is part of the editorial team at Banyan Hill Publishing. Throughout his career, he has been developing trading strategies to spot the best money making opportunities in the stock market.
Before he started working for Banyan Hill Publishing, Charles Mizrahi worked for investment banks where he managed millions of dollars in assets. That is when he was named the No. 1 trader in the country by Barron’s.

How Does 10K Playbook Work?
As we have established, Charles studies annual reports to determine which companies can earn him the biggest gains. In the presentation, he claims to have identified one company that meets all his requirements and whose annual report indicates that it can make for a good investment.
He says that if you invest in it, you may earn 100% in positive returns in the next three to four years.
He doesn’t share much about it but says that it formed a partnership with Amazon in 2018 to help it (Amazon) develop its cloud-based software solutions. The company has dozens of satellites in space that cover more area than all network carriers. It has a market capitalization of $3 billion and has 27 patents protecting its technology.
Those clues were not enough to decipher the stock he is talking about but you can read more about it in a report he wrote called How to Invest With the Billionaire′s Playbook: My No. 1 Stock to Own Right Now.
In it, he gives us the name and ticker symbol of his number one stock pick. He also outlines five key factors to look for in every company′s 10-K and three critical factors that you must understand before buying stock.

Is 10K Playbook Legit?
10K Playbook is a legit presentation.
Charles Mizrahi is a credible investment analyst who is part of the editorial team at Banyan Hill Publishing. He uses the presentation to promote his newsletter, the Alpha Investor, which I reviewed a couple of months ago and found to be legit. Therefore, I have no objections with the presentation.
Charles is spot on with regard to how he uses annual reports to find good investment opportunities — he refers to annual reports as “billionaire’s playbooks” to avoid explicitly revealing his method (although deciphering that was relatively easy).
That being said, his recommendations are not guaranteed to earn you positive returns because each investment comes with a level of risk attached to it.
10K Playbook Verdict
The 10K Playbook is a presentation by Charles Mizrahi meant to promote his investment newsletter, Alpha Investor. He also uses the presentation to outline part of his trading strategy, which entails studying a company’s annual report and determining whether or not it will be suitable to buy and hold in the long haul.
What this means is that he relies on fundamental analysis to find long-term investments, a strategy also espoused by legendary investors like Warren Buffett and Jim Rogers. And that’s not bad company to be in and proves that you can learn from him.
Although the strategy is a sound one, you may still lose money as you follow Mizrahi’s recommendations. Therefore, do not invest more money than you are willing to lose.
