Introduction to Bonner & Partners

Bill Bonner, the man who also founded Agora Financial in 1978, launched Bonner & Partners in 2009.

He started it to expose and predict the most disruptive events in the financial industry.

Bonner and Partners

He wanted to make it a personal research publication – the Agora had taken on a life of its own at this point and he wanted something he’d impose his style upon.

He enrolled a team of experts who would be bold enough to talk about the unspoken truths, the content that mainstream media outlets consider taboo.

Bonner & Partners reveals how the business world actually works, common mistakes that sink average investors, and actionable measures you can take to protect your wealth.

Through its advisory services and newsletters, the editors also reveal ingenious ways for you to grow your wealth.

The Editors at Bonner & Partners

Bonner & Partners has a relatively small staff as it only has four editors (at the time of writing this). Here are brief descriptions of the four experts:

Bill Bonner

Bill is a pioneer of the investment newsletter industry. He, along with other individuals at InvestorPlace and other long-standing publishing brands got the ball rolling and set the standards that other editors and experts abide by today.

His most notable achievement is founding The Agora in 1978 – it is now the largest independent research entity in the world. It has spawned other publishing imprints and employs many people from diverse backgrounds.

He is an accomplished author having published a book called A Modest Theory of Civilization: Win-Win or Lose.

He has co-written New York Times bestsellers like Empire of Debt: The Rise of an Epic Financial Crisis, and Mobs, Messiahs, Markets: Surviving the Public Spectacle in Finance and Politics, and Financial Reckoning Day: Surviving the Soft Depression of the 21st Century.

He writes a daily e-letter Bill Bonner’s Diary as well as a monthly newsletter, The Bonner-Denning Letter.

Jeff Brown

Jeff Brown is the tech expert at Bonner & Partners. He brings up to 30 years’ experience in Silicon Valley.

He has worked for tech firms that specialize in IT networking, IT security, technology infrastructure, automotive, consumer electronics, semiconductors, just to mention a few.

He has also launched startups and ran companies that generate millions of dollars annually.

Owing to his experience in the industry, he can spot investment openings in a way that few others can replicate.

He concentrates on finding companies that are well-positioned to grow publishing his discoveries in his newsletters and research services.

They are Exponential Tech Investor, Early Stage Trader, and The Near Future Report.

Dan Denning

Dan Denning is best known for founding Southbank Investment Research, which is the leading independent financial publisher in the UK.

He also launched and ran Port Philip Publishing in Australia.

He is a published author of a book titled The Bull Hunter.

Dan believes in small government and consequently, personal liberty and free markets. These predispositions have colored his works during his 18-year career in the financial industry.

At Bonner & Partners, he and Bill edit The Bonner-Denning Letter.

Tom Dyson

Tom Dyson is a former banker and money manager who worked in London before moving to the states.

At Bonner & Partners, he edits Postcards From the Fringe and contributes to The Bonner-Denning Letter and Bill Bonner’s Diary.

Bonner & Partners’ Newsletters

Newsletters are offered free of charge. They include:

Bill Bonner’s Diary

This daily newsletter is Bill’s mouthpiece in that it enables him to publish his unique and sometimes controversial ideas uninhibited.

He doesn’t pick stocks and his content is not aimed at building you a portfolio; instead, he shares ideas on how the business and political worlds actually work.

He also discusses any new ideas that he is keen on pursuing and reveals the biggest pitfalls that investors are prone to falling into. He also talks about his businesses and interests.

The Bleeding Edge

Jeff Brown edits this free newsletter. As a Silicon Valley insider, you’ll want to listen to what he has to say if you intend to invest in tech companies.

With a knack of identifying big tech trends before the mainstream media catches on, he discusses breakthrough technologies in his daily musings. These are plays that you need to keep your eye on to take advantage of any favorable twists.

Sometimes, he exposes the tech industry’s underbelly by revealing the real stories behind the headlines of the day.

Postcards From The Fringe

Tom Dyson is a former money manager and London banker. He abandoned settled life and chose a nomadic one, traveling around the world with a few possessions (His family tags along).

During his travels, he inevitably stumbles upon good investment opportunities thanks in part to his eye for detail. He relays his findings through his daily posts via Postcards From The Fringe.

Bonner & Partners’ Paid Products

These premium products extract a subscription fee. Except for The Bonner-Denning Letter, the rest of them are offered by Jeff Brown.

The Bonner-Denning Letter

The Bonner-Denning Letter is the contrarian guide to investing as envisioned by Bill Bonner and Dan Denning. Both men are known for their contrarian beliefs making this publication a culmination of insights you won’t find on other platforms.

They cut through the mainstream news stories and look behind the curtain to explore the hidden truths that could lead to significant changes to the economic landscape.

Through their insights, you can anticipate seemingly unexpected events and protect your wealth from said events while carving out opportunities to grow your investments.

However, it is not a stock-picking service designed to build a portfolio.

Exponential Tech Investor

Exponential Tech Investor identifies small tech companies that are likely to break out. The important part is not just identifying them, but finding them in time.

Jeff Brown is experienced enough to know when a tech company is slated to take the lead on an explosive trend like Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and 5G.

The idea is to alert you to these companies early before institutional investors catch wind of them.

His stock picks typically double or triple in size within one and a half years. Sometimes, they grow tenfold. In each monthly issue of Exponential Tech Investor, you receive a recommendation with clear instructions on how to execute it.

The Near Future Report

Through this service, Jeff Brown goes for large-cap growth stocks that are in pole position to dominate the next trends about to reach mass adoption.

These stocks confer stability and reassure you of success. Jeff calls them “sleep well at night” picks.

Although they are typically large companies, they still can deliver double-digit returns.

I have reviewed two presentations that showcase the kind of investment he considers. The two presentations were “The #1 Way To Profit In Trump’s Second Term” and “The #1 Tech Stock for 2020”

Through his publications, Jeff highlights new technologies worth following and provides easy-to-execute recommendations.

Early Stage Trader

The Early Stage Trader by Jeff Brown targets small companies that are on the verge of growing big. It is reserved for companies that are likely to deliver quicker-than-usual returns.

The secret to identifying these companies lies in a little-known market anomaly that enables Jeff to pinpoint the exact time to buy or sell the stocks to capture the highest returns.

If you are interested in fast-moving investments, Early-stage Trader should be on your priority list.

Is Bonner & Partners Legit?

Bonner & Partners is legit.

First, Bill Bonner is its founder and from my review of Agora Financial, I determined that he was a trustworthy figure in the newsletter publishing business. As a pioneering newsletter publisher, he must have some credibility about him to keep himself and his publishing houses relevant all these years.

The other reason why I think Bonner & Partners is legit is that it provides impartial views and recommendations. Its editors do not accept payments to endorse certain figures or companies. The work they publish is the product of research and street smarts.

Bonner & Partners Verdict

Bonner & Partners may not have a large team of experts and editors to draw from like its peers, but it makes up for it by providing genuine insights concerning the world of business and investing.

Led by Bill Bonner, the majority of its content appeals to readers who hold contrarian views. Furthermore, its editors keep stressing that they are interested in the opportunities that mainstream news outlets and analysts ignore.

Other than general views concerning the market, most of what Bonner & Partners publishes are tech investment recommendations courtesy of its technology expert, Jeff Brown.
