Introduction to Tech Lag
Tech Lag is a presentation published by Brownstone Research featuring Jeff Brown. It’s key purpose is to promote his newsletter, The Near Future Report.
But besides promoting the advisory service, it also gives us an insight into how Jeff views the stock market (as he was releasing it). It is about navigating the technology bull market, which Jeff claims has enabled him to earn millions.
He even claims to have earned 1,214%, 1,620%, 3900%, and even 4,344% in positive returns during that time.
He attributes his success to knowing how the technology industry works, which means that he knows when it is appropriate to invest in certain stocks and when he should exercise restraint.
He acknowledges that not many people know the market as well as he does and that most of them miss out on those profit opportunities. This information gap especially one involving tech stocks is what he refers to as “Tech Lag.”
He says that many people fall prey to it because the information they need is not readily available. Therefore, they invest in the companies that get most of the attention and they end up missing out on the stocks that can earn them bigger returns.

Who Is Behind Tech Lag?
Jeff Brown has been working in the technology sector for more than two decades. he has worked for companies like Qualcomm and NXP Semiconductors. In addition to that, he has been an angel investor and has a hand in many tech startups.
When it comes to academic qualifications, has professional certificates from Stanford and MIT as well as an MBA from London Business School. He has a bachelor’s degree in Astronautical Engineering program from Purdue University.
Since he started doling out investment advice to retail investors, he has been focusing on breakthrough tech based investment opportunities before they become available to mainstream Wall Street investors.
According to Jeff Brown, tech investing favors insiders. There are many technologies that are on the verge of huge breakthroughs but the general public may not be aware of the existence of these opportunities unless they are alerted by someone who knows it.
