What is KSI’s net worth?
KSI has an estimated net worth of $25 million. He has made much of that over the past decade via brand sponsorships, boxing matches and an assortment of business ventures. He has earned an estimated salary of $9 million per year since 2019.
His commercial success is hardly surprising considering he has over 24 million subscribers on Youtube, has released a couple of number one singles and won high-profile boxing matches that often come with a large paycheck.
We’ve seen this with other YouTubers like Marques Brownlee, Graham Stephan, and Mr Beast.
JJ is the CEO of Misfits Boxing. He also co-owns Prime Hydration together with fellow YouTuber, Logan Paul. He also has stakes in the XIX Vodka brand and a restaurant chain known as Sides.

Who is KSI?
KSI, known by his formal name Olajide Olayinka Williams “JJ” Olatunji, was born in 1993. KSI attended Berkhamsted School.
KSI launched his main YouTube account in 2009 and posted gaming commentary videos after watching FIFA games. But along the way, he decided to diversify his content to include comedy style entertaining videos.
He dropped out of school to pursue his YouTube career when he started earning steady income from his uploads. He asked his teacher whether he should drop-out and then when his teacher asked how much he was making from YouTube, he said he made “around £1,500 a month”, more than his teacher earned.
As of writing this, his personal channel has over 24 million subscribers and over 5 billion video views. If you aggregate his three YouTube channels, he has over 34M subscribers and over 8 billion views.
He is also co-founder and member of a highly successful British YouTube group called the Sidemen.
Besides being a YouTuber, JJ ventured into the music industry when he released his 2020 debut studio album, Dissimulation. It debuted at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart. He released a second studio album called All Over The Place and it debuted at number 1. So far, he has had 14 top 40 singles on the UK Singles Chart. Out of the fourteen, seven have made it to the Top 10 and five of them in the Top 5.
KSI was in the British comedy film Laid in America in 2016. He also had a documentary made about him called KSI: Can’t Lose in 2018. The documentary followed the build-up to his first amateur boxing fight against fellow British YouTuber Joe Weller.
He has also fought two boxing events against American YouTuber Logan Paul. The second of the two was a professional bout. In 2022, he took part in two professional crossover boxing bouts against Mexican boxer Luis Alcaraz Pineda and British rapper Swarmz on the same night.

How KSI Makes His Money
According to Forbes, KSI made over over $4.5 million in 2015, which made him the fifth-highest paid YouTuber in the world that year.
In 2018, KSI potentially made up to £250,000 in advertising revenue from one video. His endorsements on his social media cost around £75,000. It was also reported that KSI was the director of three UK companies with equity worth £1.7 million.
Business Insider revealed that KSI’s amateur boxing match versus Logan Paul brought in around £8.5 million from pay-per-view revenue. The live gate revenue from ticket sales totaled over £2.7 million. Some unverified reports put the potential earnings on the night at £30 million but KSI denied those claims indicating that his earnings were nowhere near those figures.
In 2019, when he was to take part in a second fight against Logan Paul, it was revealed that KSI was contracted to earn a minimum amount of $900,000.
When he was asked in an interview with Men’s Health about his wealth, KSI confirmed that he owns over ten properties across England with a combined worth of over £10 million
The Sunday Times estimated KSI’s earnings to be £12 million in 2020 and then a year after that, they estimated that his estimated earnings had gone up by another £13 million.

Sidemen
KSI has been part of the British YouTube group known as the Sidemen since 2013. Sidemen releases YouTube videos which comprise challenges, sketches and video-game commentary.
The group also sells exclusive Sidemen merchandise, which they began in 2014. The Sidemen published a book called Sidemen: The Book, in 2016 and it had sold 26,436 copies within three days.
In 2017, KSI stated that he would be leaving the Sidemen due to conflicts with fellow member, Ethan Payne. Following that announcement he released a number of diss tracks criticising members of the group. Most of them responded with their own diss tracks. Later in the year, KSI released a video discussing his supposed falling out with the Sidemen. He admitted that while it wasn’t all entirely real it wasn’t entirely fake either.
In 2021, the Sidemen launched a subscription service called Side+ along with a restaurant chain known as Sides, and a vodka brand called XIX Vodka.

Prime Hydration
KSI announced that he and his former arch-nemesis and fellow YouTube star Logan Paul, had founded a hydration company known as Prime during an Instagram Live in 2022.
Soon after, it was announced that Prime Hydration would be Timmy Hill’s NASCAR sponsor for the #13 car. Almost a month later, it was announced that Prime Hydration would be the official hydration partner of English Premier League club Arsenal F.C. The club’s Chief Commercial Officer said, “we are always looking to join forces with new, exciting and forward-thinking brands. Prime falls comfortably into that category, with a product and founders at the forefront of modern culture.”

Philanthropic Efforts
Without delving into his personal life, KSI has been involved in a couple of charitable drives. For example, he donated $10,000 to an online charity stream done by YouTuber Castro1021 in 2015. He also took part in the Race Against Slime event that was raising money for SpecialEffect, a foundation developing technology to enable people with physical disabilities to play video games.
KSI and his colleagues at Sidemen have over the years hosted and participated in three charity football events, raising money for a couple of charities, including the the Charlton Athletic Community Trust, Saint’s Foundation, Childline, and Young Minds.
In the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic in 202, KSI helped out at a food bank to support The Independent’s Help the Hungry campaign. He also prepared meals to support the Evening Standard’s Food for London Now campaign. KSI donated £10,000 to BBC Radio 1’s “Lol-a-thon” fundraiser. KSI signed an open letter, written by Lenny Henry, to urge Black British people to get vaccinated against COVID-19
Controversy
KSI’s has courted controversy in his widely publicized career. For example, in 2012 and 2013, he was criticised for his self-described ‘rape-face’. It was a recurring joke on his channel. KSI was at the centre of a controversy following third-party allegations of sexual harassment of female staff at a Eurogamer event in 2012. He was accused of sexually assaulting, spokesmodel Brandy Brewer, who later clarified that she consented.
That didn’t stop Microsoft from cutting ties with KSI and he was banned from Eurogamer events. KSI apologized for any offence his video of 15 months prior may have caused when it was on his YouTube channel. He stated his desire to move on from the incident.
Awards
KSI won a Diamond Creator Award/Youtube Creator Reward at the YouTube Creator Awards in 2016. He was named Vlogger of the Year at the NME Awards.
KSI won an Amazon Music UK award for Best Song for “Lighter” in 2020. He also got a BRIT Award nomination for Best British Single courtesy of the same song.
