What Is The Big Black Book Of Income?

The presentation on “The Big Black Book of Income” by Jimmy Mengel concerns a book by the same name that has a list of passive sources of income aimed at retirees.

I’ve reviewed similar programs and newsletters like The Bauman Letter and Profits Unlimited.

Indirectly, it is also an ad for Jimmy’s investment newsletter, The Crow’s Nest.

Midway through the presentation, Jimmy reveals some worrying statistics about the lack of preparedness by most retirees.

The key takeaway from that is that the average retiree hasn’t saved enough for retirement.

He notes that it could get even worse if recession strikes and wipes out entire savings in a short period – the information we are getting from the National Bureau of Economic Research is that a recession is long overdue at this point.

Fortunately, he presents a solution: dividend stocks.

He has compiled a list of 27 such stocks that retirees can get in on to add to their retirement funds.

By the way, a similar sounding promotion has been going around lately that claims to pay Amazon Prime Profits.

Technically, these are just normal stocks and the only thing that sets them apart is that they confer on you the right to receive a portion of a company’s profit. The company’s management decides how much you will receive and when.

When picking dividends stocks, bear in mind that:

  • Not all stocks pay dividends.
  • When identifying the ones you want to buy, you should go for those that pay consistently.
  • You should find the ones that progressively increase dividends over time.
  • Dividend stocks are bought in the same way that you buy regular stocks; they are also stocks.
  • Although payment plans vary, dividends are typically paid out anywhere between (every) 21 days and three months.

Dividend stocks are the most common form of passive income among rich people. People like Warren Buffet, George Bush, and Mitt Romney receive regular dividend payments that could add up to thousands every month.

If you are a regular person, they can add to your monthly social security check and allow you to have a comfortable retirement.

Who has written The Big Black Book of Income?

Jimmy Mengel is the senior analyst at The Outsider Club.

The Outsider Club is a financial publisher similar to the likes of The Oxford Club, Agora Financial and Banyan Hill.

Through his writings, he helps individual investors make money from lucrative investment opportunities they would otherwise not spot on their own.

He has made appearances on CNBC and written articles in the Christian Science Monitor.

How does The Big Black Book of Income Work?

Jimmy has compiled his list of 27 dividend stocks and fashioned them into a book titled “The Big Black Book of Income.” Since it is a physical book, he has to ship it to you.

While it is valued at $39, you can get it for free by enrolling in his newsletter, The Crow’s Nest.

Here are the benefits of joining his investment research service:

  • You receive monthly issues of the newsletter: These issues contain information about new investment opportunities. It gets quite detailed as it shows you what to buy, what to hold, and when you should close your positions. You may receive a video along with the email explaining the criteria behind choosing these stock picks.
  • Stock Alerts: If Jimmy spots opportunities that can’t wait for a monthly issue, he will send you an alert. It is as detailed as the newsletter, only more concise. You may also receive texts when the stock alerts hit your inbox.
  • Access to the Crow’s Nest members’ website
  • Access to the model portfolio
  • You will have first dibs on new reports and books covering new investment opportunities.
  • Access to customer support

Note: You will receive all these benefits for free for 30 days because you will be on a trial subscription.

When the trial period lapses, you will be automatically enrolled in the newsletter (officially) and deducted the membership fee.

  • A video training course called “How to Amass Wealth from Dividend Stocks.” This four-week program will teach you how to pick dividend stocks.

Subscription Fee

Initially, you will only pay $4.95 for the shipping cost of the book. In doing so, you will have agreed to be auto-subscribed to “The Crow’s Nest” after one month.

The annual subscription fee for the newsletter is $99.

Is The Big Black Book of Income a Scam?

The Big Black Book of Income is not a scam.

It is a collection of actual companies that have a reputation for paying dividends.

However, I should point out that some of Jimmy’s predictions sound alarmist and I don’t think they will happen (but I could be wrong).

I also understand that he is drumming up support from his book and that may have put some people off.

Nevertheless, that doesn’t take away from his book’s authenticity.

Pros of The Big Black Book of Income

  • Since dividend stocks typically involve big, established companies, they provide you with a reliable, and possibly lucrative, income stream.
  • Dividend stocks are usually resilient enough to see you through a recession or stock market crash.
  • Regular payments could add up to thousands of dollars every month if you choose your stocks wisely

Cons of The Big Black Book of Income

  • The discount on the membership fee is only applicable to the first 199 people.

The Big Black Book Of Income Verdict

The Big Black Book of Income is predicated on the idea that retirees and people who are planning for their retirements can benefit from including dividend stocks to their portfolios.

It, therefore, presents them with a list of stocks they can safely peg their investments on.

This list was arrived at after months of painstaking research into stocks that consistently pay dividends and, if possible, increase the dividend rates over time.

It sounds like a solid strategy especially when you consider that rich people own these stocks.
