Introduction to The Race To 40k

The COVID-19 pandemic has rocked the economy and the equities market for the past few months. Many investors are overwhelmed by the volatility that the market has been witnessing and are even considering sitting out the rest of the year until things “go back to normal.” That could mean waiting for the presidential elections to be held and a vaccine to be developed.

But Matt McCall and Louis Navellier have other ideas, which is why they intend to host the Race to 40K event on the 5th of August 2020.

The last time I saw these two analysts come together was when they were introducing the Power Portfolio 2020 at the beginning of 2020. The idea was that they would put their heads together and come up with a portfolio that comprised of stocks that would reap massive returns by the end of 2020 (but they would keep updating it as situations changed).

The Race to 40K has similar underpinnings but they have taken a different route with it.

Matt McCall is the founder and president of the Penn Financial Group. He has a Masters of Science degree in finance from the Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and an MBA degree in finance from the University of Colorado Denver.

His area of expertise is portfolio management revolving around Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and 401(K)s. He edits Investment Opportunities, Early Stage Investor, Cannabis Cash Weekly, and Ultimate Crypto. They are published by InvestorPlace.

On the other hand, Louis Navellier is a growth investor with more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry. Like Matt, Louis also edits and publishes a bunch of independent investment advisory services at InvestorPlace, including Growth Investor, Breakthrough Stocks, Louis Navellier’s Accelerated Profits, and Louis Navellier’s Platinum Growth Club.

They have come together to craft a new investment strategy that they think could remain relevant for the next twelve years.

Cons of The Race To 40k

• The organizers of the event have made some bold claims i.e. either the DJIA or Bitcoin will rise to 40K in 12 months. That may fail to materialize if the economy doesn’t stabilize or the coronavirus infections surge. 

Is The Race To 40k Legit?

The Race To 40k is a legit event because it pits two of the most prolific gurus at InvestorPlace. They will each give reasons why the think Bitcoin (Matt) or the DJIA (Navellier) will reach 40K in 12 months. 

While it sounds outrageous saying it now, I can’t fault them for making those bold predictions because Bitcoin, for example, rose to unprecedented levels in 2017 and who says it can’t happen again. Especially considering that the “halvening” (or “halving”) that happened in May led to sharp rises that have held since as demand rises (as I write this, we are at the end of July).

Some analysts expect Bitcoin to rise to 20K by December, which could support Matt’s projections. The DJIA may also go on a mad one if the economy recovers fast enough.

We just have to wait and see how their predictions pan out.

The Race To 40k Verdict

The Race to 40K is an event that will be published by InvestorPlace. It will be pitting Matt McCall and Louis Navellier as they compete to see whose prediction will materialize. Matt thinks Bitcoin will hit 40K while Navellier thinks the DJIA will get there first.

I expect this to be tied to a newsletter that they will require you to subscribe to to reveal the investments they are handpicking to ride the 40K rally. My money is on the Power Portfolio 2020 but I may be wrong; they may be cooking up something entirely new or just rehashing some other service that one of them offers.

Either way, it will be interesting to see how their predictions fare.
