What is The EV Superboom Summit?

The EV Superboom Summit by Dave Forest will be about electric vehicles (EVs).

Electric vehicles are a topic many investment gurus have been excited about and we’ve seen tons of webinars and articles about investing in this megatrend.

Dave Forest EV Superboom SummitHere, we’ve already covered a few of those like “Blue Gas Tesla Killer” by Jimmy Mengel and “The NEXT Tesla Motors” by Ian Wyatt.

The EV Superboom Summit will be Dave Forest’s take on how the industry will pan out. He will weigh in on how he expects the industry to look in the future and how he wants us to invest to make the most out of it.

In the invite to the event, Mr. Forest points out that “Old tech” companies like Facebook, Netflix, and Adobe have not been doing well.

Meanwhile, “new tech” EV stocks are looking promising and likely to take off.

Dave is talking about how so far in 2022 (and I write this at the end of February), tech stocks that were doing so well and driving a market resurgence in 2020 and 2021, have been plummeting.

NASDAQ is down 14.4% year-to-date (as of 21st February) and has shed 16.4% of the all-time high it hit in mid-November, just before the Omicron variant started ripping through the population. Some analysts are even warning that tech stocks may take time to regain their values and could keep going down.

Dave Forest thinks that the Electric Vehicle market will not suffer this fate. He expects this fledgling market to keep going and to put his money where his mouth is, he has been investing in the EV space so far and has seen his holdings grow 867%. He says that he is just getting started.

What will Dave Forest Discuss at the EV Superboom Summit?

The first thing Dave will focus on is how to profit from the EV “Superboom.”

Since electric vehicles are only bound to increase on the roads (Dave says that they will rise from 10 million to 145 million in the next decade), EV carmakers will be the ones to look out for.

Here are some of the things Dave Forest will tackle at the event:

  • How Detroit “secretly” plans to compete with Elon Musk and Tesla (TSLA). Many traditional car manufacturers want to start producing electric vehicles. A majority have invested millions towards this.
  • Dave will walk us through the Ford F-150 Lightning EV (F), an electric vehicle by Ford.
  • The electric car that Apple (AAPL) is rumored to be working on, “the iCar”. I say rumored because Apple has remained coy about it and hasn’t publicly shared anything major about the project (called Project TITAN).

The Apple speculations have been around for a while now. I’ve even done presentations about this  like Jeff Brown’s “iCar Company RIP Tesla” pitch and Bill Spencer’s “Profits from Apple Cars” pitch.

That being said, Dave Forest’s main talking point at the presentation will be a small EV supplier that he will recommend to his audience. It is a relatively small company that trades at $3 (when he released the invite) and that he says will go from $30 million to $500 million in sales handing investors 49X gains in the process.

What Dave Forest has been saying about EVs

To promote the EV Superboom Summit, Dave Forest has been writing his Daily Dispatch newsletter and blog.

In the past few days, he has written a couple of articles talking about electric cars and the investment opportunities they are creating. He says that the EV universe is set to explode and that the world’s largest investors know this and haven’t been selling their EV positions.

Here is a chart he shared in one of those newsletters:

He notes that those investors have been acquiring more shares of EV stock.

He says that there are many ways to invest in the EV market that goes beyond Tesla, the most recognizable name in the industry. He says that people can invest in:

  • Charging stations
  • Batteries
  • The hard tech needed in every single EV on Earth
  • EV safety equipment
  • Next-generation electricity grids to handle all the juice EVs need
  • Advertising opportunities at EV hubs
  • Even specialty insurance

He expects the EV sector to be as far-reaching as the automobile was when it first became a major part of people’s lives.

He notes that it is not just automakers like Ford and GM that benefited from it. Tires, repair shops, roadside motels, diners, hard assets like steel and oil, and thousands of other spin-off businesses were also beneficiaries.

What he is trying to say is that we should look beyond Tesla and the big manufacturers and pay attention to the pick and shovel stocks.

Who is David Forest?

Dave Forest is a geologist by profession. He is also an investment analyst who’s been writing about the stock market for years.

Dave worked in the mining and petroleum industry for over 20 years before bridging his technical expertise into the finance and investment sector.

He joined Casey Research in 2004 and wrote a newsletter called Casey Energy Speculator that was about finding high-potential investment opportunities in oil, natural gas, uranium, and renewables globally.

In his two decades of working in the mining and petroleum industry, he founded his own mineral exploration and development companies and raised over $80 million in equity from investors. He helped develop a 10-million-ounce gold deposit in Colombia and became the first person to be granted a modern exploration license in Myanmar.

Is the EV Superboom Summit Legit?

The EV Superboom Summit is legit because Dave Forest is a credible investment analyst with many years of experience in the industry. Although his specialty is in the mining and oil industries, he has gotten quite a good understanding of other sectors, particularly technology. He has written and spoken about tech stocks and has had a fair bit of success with his investing.

I also think the webinar is legit because Dave is making sense: the EV market is fledgling right now but it is growing in importance. Many traditional carmakers are taking electric vehicles seriously and this just goes to show how important the industry could become.

Therefore, when he talks about a super boom in EVs, it doesn’t feel farfetched.

Closing Remarks on The EV Superboom Summit

The EV Superboom Summit by Dave Forest is an event during which he will talk about the electric vehicle industry and the opportunities that are within it. His approach is to look past the car manufacturers and consider investing in other companies that will be involved in one way or the other.

It will be interesting to see how this works out but I urge you to be cautious. Although the Electric Vehicle industry is showing a lot of promise, not all investments involved will do well. There will be missteps along the way and some companies will lose money and be bad investments. As always, there is risk involved here too.
