Early Life
Logan Alexander Paul was born in 1995, in Ohio. His younger brother, Jake Paul, is also a social media star. Logan Paul joined YouTube when he was 10 years old. His channel was called Zoosh.
When he was in high school, Logan was an All-Star linebacker for the Westlake High School football team and a State Champion wrestler. Paul did attend Ohio University, where he studied industrial engineering. He dropped out in 2014 to become a full-time influencer and YouTube star, moving to Los Angeles.

Paul dated actress Chloe Bennet in 2018. In 2020, he confirmed that he was dating model Josie Canseco, daughter of Jose Canseco who’s a baseball legend. Logan Paul began his career on Vine. In 2015, he was the 10th most influential Vine personality with the short videos making him hundreds of thousands of dollars. Logan Paul has also been in the ring a couple of times in highly charged encounters with fellow social media personalities and professionals.
KSI Boxing Matches
Logan Paul and fellow YouTuber KSI held a pay-per-view boxing match in 2018. There was a rematch on November 9, 2019, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The first fight had 2.25 million viewers live, with 1 million watching via pay-per-view. The fight generated around $13 million in revenue with Logan and KSI each earning close to $2 million total from the match before taxes. In the second fight, which was broadcast by boxing company DAZN USA, they allegedly took home $3 million each.
Floyd Mayweather Boxing Match
Logan fought Floyd Mayweather in a professional boxing match in 2021. Logan was to earn a base salary of $250,000 plus 10% of Pay Per View profits. Mayweather was reportedly guaranteed $10 million to show up plus a whopping 50% of the PPV profits.
Although Logan claimed he’d make $20 million, approximately 1 million people paid for the fight and Floyd earned an estimated $35 million while Logan earned around $5.25 million.

Logan Paul’s WWE Career
Logan Paul also recently joined WWE after making his first appearance at WrestleMania earlier this year. He signed a contract with WWE and was photographed doing so flanked by WWE executives Stephanie McMahon and Paul Levesque (Triple H).
Although details of Paul’s WWE deal have not yet been revealed, it is unlikely he will be a week-to-week on-screen talent. He will more likely be a part-time performer who appears at major events and on weekly television.

Logan Paul and KSI, former boxing rivals, became business partners when they launched Prime Hydration, an energy drink brand that has been so popular in the US that stocks on the official Prime hydration drink website sold out within hours of it being launched.
Logan Paul and KSI intend to “rival some of the biggest companies on Earth.” Their biggest focus for their drink is taste and hydration. Paul said that the drink is made up of 10% coconut water.

Logan Paul launched a clothing line called Maverick by Logan Paul. He claimed that it sold $40 million worth of stock within 9 months of launching.
The clothing brand called Maverick Apparel has been demanding Logan Paul drop the name “Maverick” from his brand saying Paul has “hijacked” the name.
Logan Paul Controversies
Logan Paul has had a series of controversies over the years. For example, YouTube demonetized Paul’s channels in early February 2018 due to his “pattern of behavior.” He had taken part in the Tide Pod challenge and shared a video of himself using a taser gun on two dead rats. YouTube remonetized his channel two weeks later but kept it in probation for 90-days. When a YouTube channel is on probation, it cannot appear on the trending tab on YouTube.
In January 2019, Paul was accused of homophobia when he said on his podcast, “What is it, male-only March? … We’re gonna attempt to go gay for just one month.” He was accused of suggesting homosexuality is a choice.
Suicide Forest Controversy
Perhaps the biggest controversy Logan Paul was involved in was in December 2017 when he uploaded a video of him at Aokigahara (the suicide forest) at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan. This area is known for the many people who go there to commit suicide. Paul’s video showed a corpse hanging from a tree. It had 6.3 million views within 24 hours but it caused widespread outrage. There were petitions to have YouTube delete Paul’s channel. Paul removed the video and issued an apology on his Twitter account on January 1, 2018. YouTube condemned Paul’s video. YouTube announced it was removing Paul’s channels from its preferred ad program, Google Preferred. He was fired from YouTube Red series “Foursome.” Paul gave $1 million to suicide prevention agencies.
